Here is one of the Bellagio water shows that play every hour in front of the hotel. Pretty awesome to watch.
One of the automated shows on the strip. This is infront of the Mirage hotel which is pretty awesome. The Beatles Revolution Rock Bar is awesome!
When you’re awesome like me sometimes it takes a while to make posts because of how much awesome stuff I’m doing. Finally I have a chance to post about the We Are Scientists show Greg and I went to on July 30th at the Middle East in Cambridge. Always a good place to catch a show. Tickets were priced decently, drinks were strong and they put on a great show. Here’s a taste of the night and if you’re into rock/electronic you should pick up an album.
Don’t show it at all. This is on the idea of the quality vs. quantity rule. Everyone hits a point where they have to balance the two, whether you’re buying supplies for your office, or those $1 burritos you find in the frozen food section at Shaws. (No Brainer – A MUST BUY!) Like I said, this concept can really apply to anything. Especially video creation. Seth Goden had a similar post too.
You may have heard of a video I was working on late last year called Knock Knock. I filmed it, edited it, and released some B-roll from the takes. After chopping it all together I watched it a few times through and realized it just wasn’t funny or good at all. Then I had a decision to make, either I can release it to grow the library of flicks I’ve been in or trash it. I decided to scrap the project. I’d rather be able to say I was an extra in The Matrix, then say I was a lead in Tremors 5-7. Bacon was smart when he ditched on the second one.
Above is one of the scenes where I’m supposed to be driving around listening to some music when something embarrassing comes up on my iPod. I think they did this in Tommy Boy too…..no wait, I know they did this.
So it’s been a while since I’ve made a post. Sorry to be all procrastinating but I think my Mom is the only one who reads this anyway. I’ve been very busy over the past few weeks. Lets see what I’ve done. I’ve replaced my headlights:
I’ve gone to the junkyard for parts to help a friend fix a car:
My 4th gen iPod had died and I was able to recover it:
And here is the kicker. Greg and I have been actively working on a project. We are looking to put some time into a live show. We have been gathering material to talk about and we’re working with a new application called Wirecast. Wirecast runs on both Mac or PC and allows you to take any webcam connected to the computer and broadcast that out over a stream. You can toggle between cameras, do picture in picture and do all crazy things on the fly. Yes I know the aspect ratios are wrong. Get over it, it was a test. You can watch this video of me making an ass of myself. You can stick around for a longer one after.
